Given my obsession with all things Munster Rugby, i’m really suprised it’s taken me so long to post a photo of Thomond Park. I made it along to a Limerick Photowalk organised by Patrick Dinneen via Photowalk.ie. It was great to put faces to names and meet some new people. I really enjoyed the walk and hope to make it along to a few more of the photowalk.ie walks soon!

Paul O’Connell wins a lineout during training at UL for the Heineken Cup Round 4 Pool match against French side Perpignan. This was the first time I ever managed to get out to see Munster train. I was suprised to see that they record everything – presumably for analysis after training. Hat Tip to Ger for giving me a call to let me know they were on campus.

Oonagh is lifted for the lineout by John and Sebastian Chabal…. errr, I mean Gary. I’m amazed this one worked. First, we had a drink or two by the time we kicked off the second half. Second I managed to catch the action. And finally – no body was hurt!

A shot from Munster’s final match of the 2008/2009 Magner’s league at Thomond Park. Mick O’Driscoll is lifted for the lineout. Paul O’Connell charges in to provide support.
Thanks to Steve and Eamonn for the tickets. And thanks to Paul and Ciara for sorting them out (and the lift).

Of the 200 odd photos that I took during the tag rugby match at Chris’ Stag weekend, this one stood out the most. It was the only one that captured a bit of the action properly. My first official attempt at sports photography was a disaster otherwise!
Here are the official rules for the next time! 🙂
